Feeding Cows In Winter
February 5, 2020
We do a pretty good job of stockpiling our forage so we don't have to feed much hay during the winter months. However, when we get a few inches of snow, the cattle need hay since they aren't able to dig under the snow for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We could throw a bale of hay out into the field, but we prefer to roll a bale out for the cattle. This results in spreading seed and providing bedding on cold days.
